What Colours?

Hello Shammy Shack,

I currently use a Grays Jumbow GX3000 in Light Blue and i want to know which colour Shammy's will suit it.

Chamois Grips

Hello Shammy Shack,

My names Tudor Stainsby, I play for South Saxons in Hastings and my county Sussex. Im from England.
I'm currently using the white chamois on my stick but had a bit of difficulty applying it due to its thickness, my other grips seem to be alot thinner and easier to apply, I was wondering if you were able to bring out a thinner version of the chamois?

Thickness

Hi Tudor,

The white grips are a bit thicker than the others due to the dyeing process, we are working on making these thinner like the other colours. The best way to put them on is to stretch the grip to start with over the corner of a table - this breaks the fibres up and makes the grip softer and easier to apply. The positive is that the grips last a lot longer and once they have been on the stick a while become really soft and super water absorbent.

Shammy Shack grips are overgrips

The grips aren't thick enough to be used on their own, or I wouldn't advise it as you will not have the dampening effect of a usual grip. Shammy Shack grips are designed to go over your existing grip.

Applying 2 chamois

I have bought two different coloured chamois grips and would like to know how you apply both grips on the stick??

If you put one grip on top of

If you put one grip on top of the other to start with and then secure at the top of your stick with pvc grip tape. Then wind the grips on together angling the top grip so that you can see the bottom grip as well. Carry on all the way down the stick and secure with cotton tape at the bottom of the original grip.

hey guys,
i bought a purple shammy grip last december and it lasted fine but started slipping.

so i re-taped it at the top and further down it started slipping off again!!

so i took it off and now can't get it on well with-out it having lots of bumps cause i can't manage to get the grip tight enough!
it was my old coach who put my grip on last time but now i don't go there any more!

please can you tell me how to put the grip on correctly and maybe add some pics!! :)

Hey, This may be a bit late

Hey,

This may be a bit late but if you are still having problems getting the grip on without lumps try wetting the grip before putting it on.

There is a good video on youtube showing how to do it, search for "how to put a chamois grip" and it should be the top result. It is by total hockey. They start at the bottom of the grip but its the same if you start at th top.

Brilliant and long lasting grips

These grips are brilliant. I bought set of grips in October and using them since and the one on my main stick has only started to show signs of wear in the last week. I also still have the reverse side of the grip to use. Normally I need to reverse the grip about 1/4 though the season then replace it at Christmas. The grips can absorb a lot of water before there is any effect on grip levels. Certainly the best I’ve used.

Just a quick question, which grip in the current range matches the colour of the old sky blue grip?

florescent yellow

First, I love your grips! But, the florescent yellow is not florescent at all. The color does not look like the picture, it's just plain yellow. Could you make a grip that's brighter and more yellow/green florescent. Our team bought a couple to try them out before we all got them, and we were not impressed with the yellow's color. Other than that color, it's a great product. We loved the hot pink & the navy!

That was the first thing I thought when I got the Fluoro yellow grip. But when you play later on the day you'll notice the fluoro part of it.
You can see it very bright from 3 fields away. Well, people said to me they knew were I was playing because of my grip ;)

Did you buy the new flouro-yellow grip or the Bright yellow grip? The bright yellow is as you say just a yellow colour but the new flouro-yellow is exactly as in the picture. Glad you liked the other grips.

Nice Purple

Hi! I havn't actually bought a purple shammy yet but some of my friends have it and i actually really like the dark purple, i have read some other feedback saying that the purple is alot darker compared to the picture i think you should keep it that way!

I ordered this purple grip for my stick and thought that it was going to be the really really bright purple like shown on the picture.

When it came it is actually really dark and from far away it doesn't even look like purple.

I really love it as it is perfect once you put it on your stick but am disappointed with the colour!:(

But as the prices are good I will just get a really bright colour when it gets old.

PLEASE COULD YOU MAKE A LIGHTER MUCH BRIGHTER PURPLE GRIP!!!!!

Flouro-Green Chamois Grip

Hi,
i really like the shammy shack, especially the difference in colors!!

But can you make a Flouro-Green grip? that would be awesome!
I really like the very bright colors, because then you'll be noticed by other players on the field :D

My recent purchase...

Ive recently just bought a few chamois grips from here and i love them. I use them very quickly but only because i like to have a change of colour. Looking forward to when all the new colours come out and i will work towards having one of each colour so i can keep changing them!! The quality of the chamois is awesome, they're very thick compared to the Dita ones and the range of colours is great! The only thing i would say is that the length still needs to be longer. I like my chamois grip to go further than the original grip and at the moment they are only just covering the original grip if pulled very tightly! other than that top stuff and i will be buying alot more!!

Great grips

Fantastic produce at a fantastic price, these grips are soft but durable and at a very good price. The long length means it will easily fit a 37' stick. Since I bought a few the other member of my team have started to use them especially as these type of grips are the only ones that seem to work in both hot and cold/wet conditions. A great addition to any stick.

I play for Scotland U21s and Surbiton HC... This has appeal to everyone i know! BUT... every time i mention it the question always asked is "do they do a white shammy"

Heard about this site off a mate and couldn't believe there was a website purely dedicated to chamois grips. I live in uk and had simple quick service taking up the bargin offer of 3 for £10. Loving the astro green grip at the mo with my black stick but would be awsome to see a white grip in the future.
